Thai Foot Massage
Tutor: Catherine Alderson MCMA, APNT, ITEC
Thai Foot Massage is a gentle flowing massage of the feet and lower legs, primarily stimulating the "Sen" energy lines, which distribute the life energy forces throughout the body. The foot is mobilised and stretched, gaining movement and flexibility and reflex points are activated using a special Thai Foot Stick, (which are provided on the day of training). By stimulating the reflex points on the feet, we increase the energy flow of the whole body, promoting harmony and healing.
The treatment lasts for approximately one hour and the client will normally feel deeply relaxed afterwards yet energised.
The origins of Thai Foot Massage stem from China, where the art has been practised for more than 5000 years. It has been used in Thailand for more than 2000 years and is still taught in the Thai temples by Buddhist monks.
