1. COURSES

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the smooth running of the school, unforeseen circumstances may result in some of the courses being withdrawn at short notice. All courses are subject to availability.

The Wilbury School reserves the right to change the date of or cancel the course if its premises are closed due to the circumstances beyond its control, including, but not limited to fire, by order of any public authority or any other force major event.

1.1 COURSE DATES

When we receive your booking, we will send you a schedule of all the dates relevant to your course. This schedule will be the most accurate version of dates you will be attending the school and will supercede any dates shown on the website or elsewhere. Any changes will be notified to you in writing.

1.2 EXAMS

Students of all subjects must take their exams within 20 months of the start of their course. After this, they will no longer be eligible to take their exams without repeating part or all of their course at extra cost.

It is the student's responsibility to book a place on exams, which are held at the Wilbury school three times a year. Whilst we will endeavour to remind students of forthcoming exams we cannot be held responsible if they miss booking deadlines.

Exam fees and white uniforms for Diploma courses are extra cost. Students will be informed of current prices when they book onto a course, but these are subject to change by ITEC and the uniform suppliers.

2. PAYMENT

Payment for courses can be made by cheque, card or cash. The Registration Fee (where applicable) is included in the course fee.

Short courses must be paid for in advance of the start date. Longer courses (e.g. Diploma courses) can be paid in instalments by Standing Order, provided this has been agreed by the Proprietor in advance. There is a £25 set-up fee for Standing Orders and the following terms and conditions apply:

In the event that you are unable to continue with standing order payments, you must:

  • Immediately notify the school's proprietor in writing
  • Discuss and agree an alternative method of payment of course fees.

However, if you wish to withdraw from the course before completion, you must:

  • Immediately notify us in writing and
  • Pay IN FULL for all training completed up to the date of termination.

If a student defaults on payment, we reserve the right to take legal action.

3. PRICE INFORMATION

The Wilbury School has taken great care to ensure prices are accurate. Please note that all pricing is subject to change.

The Wilbury School reserves the right to introduce promotions at any time. All bookings made prior to a promotion being introduced cannot be changed to that of the promotion.

The Wilbury School prices do not currently include VAT, however prices may change in the future should the situation with VAT change.

4. CANCELLATION POLICY

The Registration Fee (i.e. deposit) is non-refundable if the student decides to cancel a place on a course, but can be transferred to another course by arrangement.

Once booked onto ITEC exams, no refund can be given if the student decides to withdraw – nor can the payment be carried forward.

If the Wilbury school has to cancel a course before it starts for any reason, a full refund will be given.

5. CREDIT CARD MISUSE

The majority of card issuers either cover all the charges that may result from unauthorised use of your credit card or debit cards, or may limit your liability to £50.

The Wilbury School will take all reasonable care to keep the details of your order and credit card information secure, but unless we have been negligent, we will not be liable for any losses you may suffer as a result of unauthorised access by a third party to the information transmitted by you when booking with The Wilbury School.

6. CONTRA-INDICATIONS / SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Some disorders or illnesses may be contra-indicated to embarking on our courses. You are responsible for informing the Wilbury school if you have any conditions that may put your own health, or the health of others, at risk, and we advise you to seek medical opinion.

7. ONLINE BOOKING REQUESTS

Disability Access

The Wilbury School is committed to providing accessibility for all and strives to operate best practice within the constraints of a Grade II* listed building. Whilst the school makes every effort to ensure all students find the premises easily accessible, due to the nature of the building, the main teaching room is laid out over the top floor of the building and there is a restriction against having a lift installed. For more information please contact our team who will be happy to help.

Please be advised that The Wilbury School complies with the National Smoke Free legislation. The Wilbury School does not have a smokers area.
